Primordial Classifications
Elemental: These Primordials have magic directly related to the elements. In physical form, their appearances and breed construction will typically reflect the element that they have control over. For instance, Elemental Primordials who control water, will often have fins, scales, or gills.
Ruby, Amber
Spirit: Primordials who have magic pertaining to effects on others. These Primordials can heal, affect mood, interrupt argument, read minds, etc.
Rose Quartz, Snowflake Obsidian, Peridot, Garnet, Bismuth, Aura Quartz, Lapis Lazuli
Oracle: Oracle Primordials are more shamanistic in quality. They can open cosmic awareness, see the past and future, and other like abilities. These Primordials can at times feel more mystical in nature than other Primordials. Dragon, Phoenix, Unicorn and other creatures of the like tend to be blended into the breed construction of Oracle Primordials.
Sunstone, Opal, Azurite, Moonstone, Emerald
Defense: A special kind of Primordial, Defense Primordials are always connected with another type of magic. Most often Spirit and Oracle magics. Breed construction of Defense Primordials is usually VERY apparent in their physical appearance.
Amethyst (Spirit), Jasper (Oracle), Turquoise (Spirit)
Rare Hybrids: Occasionally, you may come across a crossbreed. If not a Defense or Mythical Primordial, cross-line magics are very rare. Currently, there are only two.
Aquamarine (Oracle/Elemental), Larimar (Spirit, Elemental)
Mythical: Mythical Primordials tend to exhibit multiple variations of magic, and have more of their given stone embedded in their appearance. They manifest power specifically from these stones, and as such, tend to be the strongest of the Primordials, as well as the rarest. The stones that are found on them are among the rarest and most valuable in the world.

Each Primordial has their own magical abilities. Players can choose whether their character is aware of these abilities or not, and by no means do they have to play a character with these abilities. If the character WILL be displaying their magical abilities, these are the abilities inherent to the specific Primordials. When magic is being used, the Primordial's jewel will glow.
Ruby:
Can heal anything in the environment. Very much an earth elemental, can also amplify the powers of any other primordial or magic wielder.
Rose Quartz:
Can heal people, and also impart a comforting or loving mental state on others.
Snowflake Obsidian:
Can heal people, as well as impart a calm and collected mental state on others.
Peridot:
Can curb anger in others, and resolve arguments and quarrels.
Amber:
Can produce electric currents.
Larimar:
Has telepathic powers, as well as the ability to silence others temporarily.
Sunstone:
Psychic abilities, can connect with the universe and awaken cosmic consciosness.
Amethyst:
Can heal against poisons, instantly sober others. Alcohol only affects this primordial when she decides to let it.
Garnet:
Can't be injured, can stop nightmares and also place protection spells on others.
Bismuth:
Can sense other primordials and their locations, as well as create a psychic link between primordials.
Azurite:
Psychic abilities. Very much an oracle.
Pearl:
Can force a deep state of focus, absorbs wisdom like a sponge.
Aura Quartz:
Can heal like other primordials, but can also heal mental issues and clear chakras.
Moonstone:
Psychic abilities, can inspire hope in others.
Emerald:
An oracle as well, but can also control/produce lust in others.
Jasper:
Can heal people, and can not be injured.
Aquamarine:
Psychic abilities, can control water.
Lapis Lazuli:
The magic of this primordial works like a truth serum.
Turquoise:
Can not be injured, has the power to befriend ANYONE.

The Primordials species are a way for Naikios to harness the random ideas constantly popping into her head. A price is built into the construction to cover the time spent creating/rendering the various characters.
Currently, I'm putting together a Furcadia Group (Connecting all of the Primordial Characters and offering a decription tag). Eventually, we'll be able to have a dream created, or offer other freebies to our Primordial Players!
Characteristics
Primordials can carry the characteristics of virtually any creature on the planet. Many have a blend of some mythical creature (Dragons, Phoenix, Chimaera, etc.), and many exotic creatures. Their breed construction is always dictated by their specific Jewel.
Primordial Gemstones:
- Each Primordial has at least ONE gem that is a part of their body. They can be found anywhere on the body, but usually are on the head, chest, or hands.
- Mythical Primordials, unlike others, have multiple gems. Many have horns, antlers, wings, or other body parts which have become entirely made up of their particular gem.
Lifespans & Lifestyles
Birth: Primordials are inherently mystical in nature, and while no one knows where they originally came from, the Primordials believe themselves to be fey-furres. Due to this, they generally consider that they were created the same way as the fey. -Furcadia Canon-
Conception in a Primordial for the sake of birthing a primordial... can only occur with another Primordial, and their child will often be a mixed gem Primordial. (Snowflake Obsidian, Rose Quartz, Aura Quartz for instance are likely children of other primordials.) There is only ONE Primordial for each original gem, though this doesn't dicate an age necessarily. When a Primordial DOES conceive, their child will be born in a crystalline egg, which can take days to years to hatch, depending on the rarity of the gem. The moment the Primordial hatches, they can almost immediately by classified. (Primordials can conceive with other species, but their children will not have any primordial qualities.)
Lifespan: Primordials are generally immortal. Their ages, however, can vary from very young to ancient, all depending on them. Primordials are created in such a way that the player can choose almost anything to do with their character without restrictions.
Lifestyle: Again, Primordials are meant to be played with as few restrictions as possible. Their immediate design is usually attached to their gem, but can be changed to suit player prefences. Players can decide whether they wish their character to use their magical abilties, whether their characters interact with other primordials or not, what time period or region they want their characters to be set in. As they are immortal characters, players have a lot of wiggle room to work with for these characters.
